The world feels uncertain in ways that are hard to ignore right now. Which is exactly why it matters more than ever to stay close to ourselves − to keep safe, stay healthy, and look after one another.
That's not just something we say. here's what it has looked like at Peruda this year.
Standing for standards
New EU legislation coming into force in September 2026 will make vague green claims illegal. For too long, words like "natural" and "clean" have meant whatever a brand wanted them to mean — and consumers have carried that risk, on their skin, with no way to know the difference.
Peruda has always been NaTrue certified — not because we had to be, but because we believe your skin deserves the best, and NATRUE is the proof. This year, we are cementing that commitment by joining NaTrue as a member organisation, standing alongside names like Dr. Hauschka and Weleda who share an equally high standard.
Making sure greenwashing doesn't happen again
We are contributing to an international working group on psychodermatology — bringing together researchers and practitioners to establish shared, responsible definitions around how skincare affects psychological wellbeing. The goal is to give legislators a clear standard before vague language takes hold, the way "natural" and "organic" once did. A full report and webinar are planned for September.

The conversation is happening now
In June, I join Dr. Hauschka, Primavera LIFE, and Dr. B. Scheffler on a panel at Cosmetic Business in Munich to discuss how brands can communicate sustainability honestly, credibly, and engagingly. GREEN AREA, Hall 2, Stand A01 — June 10 2026.

Listening to your skin
We've built an AI-driven Skin Companion that helps you to guide through your own skin recovery journey — supporting you to understand the language of your skin, what it is telling you, and how to transition it to doing what the skin was designed to do in the first place − protect, signal, regulate, and defend. Your skin is the body's first line of defence.
There's more in the works. We'll share it as it comes. Thank you for being here − it means a lot. Keep safe.
