True healing goes beyond ingredients; it harmonises nature’s wisdom with our body’s unique needs. The indigenous Amazonian word Peruda, meaning ‘love’ in Tupi Guarani, is more than just a brand name. It is our guiding star, woven into everything we do, reminding us that real healing always begins with an act of love.
our philosophy
The name 'Peruda' means 'love' in Tupi Guarani, an indigenous Amazonian language. It embodies our core values: thoughtful care for both people and planet.

core values
Wild-Harvested Wisdom
Our botanicals are sustainably wild-harvested from the Amazon rainforest. These ingredients, like Andiroba Oil and Copaiba Oili Resin, have been used for generations by indigenous communities and are now backed by scientific research supporting their benefits for skin recovery.
Certified Organic
Alongside our wild-harvested Amazonian botanicals, we source certified organic ingredients from select European suppliers who share our strong environmental and social values. These carefully chosen ingredients complement our formulations with their gentle yet effective properties for sensitive skin.
Upcycled Innovation
We partner with innovative companies that transform food industry byproducts into potent skincare ingredients. These upcycled botanicals, such as the rice beads in our exfoliating mask, combine powerful skincare benefits with environmental responsibility.
Waterless by Design
Our waterless formulations reduce the need for preservatives that can be irritating to skin. This approach makes our products particularly suitable for sensitive and compromised skin, whilst minimising the environmental impact.
Conscious Packaging
Environmental responsibility extends to every detail of our products. Our choice of recyclable PP monomaterial packaging supports circularity - today's packaging could become tomorrow's raincoat. We continuously monitor packaging innovations to further reduce our environmental impact and improve recyclability.
Minimal Processing, Maximum Care
Each botanical is carefully extracted using cold-pressing methods to preserve its natural fatty acids and active compounds. This approach ensures we maintain the full spectrum of beneficial properties and bioactive compounds that make these botanicals exceptional for sensitive skincare.
Partnership & Preservation
We partner with organisations who work directly with development cooperatives in the Amazon that practice sustainable wild-harvesting methods. This protects the region's biodiversity while supporting local economic development, ensuring environmental stewardship and economic growth strengthen each other throughout the value chain.
Recognition and Standards
Peruda Skincare is a UEBT provisional member. We went through the UEBT membership process and requirements. We are now in the process of acquiring full membership, which involves the adoption of a 3-year work plan to further improve our ethical sourcing practices. In addition, our products are undergoing the NATRUE approval process, the highest standard in natural and organic skincare.
